Having Fun with Mom!

Mom came up with the idea to come home with me to Spokane from the family reunion in Utah. Hey - if she is brave enough to drive 12 hours in the car with my kids then I was all for it! We have had fun shopping, going to lunch, getting her haircut, hanging out and watching movies etc... Just girl stuff!

First Day of School

I protest! The summer was too short, and my kids are growing up too fast! How is it possible that I must send them back to school? Here are the yearly first day of school photos.

Another year of carpooling, planning all my shopping during the day, getting up early, making lunches (although the kids have said they will make their own - I'm just afraid of what they consider to be lunch food) supervising homework, fitting in soccer practice, piano lessons, attending plays, fieldtrips, fund raisers, parent teacher conferences....busy school days.

I miss the days when my kids were little and we just played together all day. It was all about trips to the park, a few favorite TV shows, bath time, naps, reading stories, making cookies, picking up toys. Sometimes I hate to share them with the world.
