Merry Christmas!

I love to wrap presents and they look so pretty under the tree. The days before Christmas are my favorite. The kids love to count and sort the presents and everything looks so pretty when it is wrapped in a neat package. I have way too much wrapping paper and ribbons and bows. But hey - when it is $1.00 at Target what can I do? The first part of December I set up a wrapping station in my bedroom. It helps to have all the paper and tape and tags in one place. We all wrap our gifts as we buy them so the pile under the tree grows all month long. (Melissa was the best this year - she wrapped her gifts as soon as she came home from the store!) Tammy was the first to put presents under because she was here for Thanksgiving and she wrapped hers before she left.

Santa gave us all Steelers scarves in our stockings- we need them in this weather!

Andrew is happy with anything to do with his new favorite sport - longboarding. But alas - if only we could see some pavement. Nothing but snow, snow, snow!
Thanks to e-bay, we got a lot of things to make Dad smile. You can find everything on e-bay. But can it be delivered in time...? Fed Ex and UPS were delayed but actually everything we ordered came in time for Christmas. Lucky!

Katie added to her wardrobe! New boots just in time for all this winter weather! And a staple in her diet - CANDY! She'll have to share with everyone!


American Girl dolls, monkeys and the Wii. Megan was thrilled. She has been asking for a Wii for a long time. She even did a sales pitch using a power point presentation that she made about it to educate Mom and Dad. Santa left her a letter asking her to teach her family how to play our new Wii.

Merry First Christmas Dallas!

We were soooooooooo lucky to have Tammy and Toby and Dallas here to spend Christmas. They mangaged to fly in to Spokane just in between big snow storms.

Melissa had a Merry Christmas with all her pigs, American Girl doll stuff and the Wii. She is the best at Wii bowling!

Mom is happy just looking around and seeing all her kids smiling at Christmas! Just as we are getting out of baby toys and shopping at Toys R Us - grandkids come and we are back in the toy stage again. Our timing is perfect - we will always have kids at Christmas!

Christmas dinner - since all we've eaten all day is candy! Well not really - our kids always complain that we interrupt opening presents to eat a big Christmas morning breakfast.

Merry Christmas to all! Another year of blessings and fun. The snow made it so magical and I really didn't mind being stranded at home. It made it fun to stay in and cut out alot of activities and just be with family. We really can't complain - we never lost power or internet or heat. Just had to deal with lots of snow on the roads. We really are so blessed.

It's beginning to look a lot like....ANTARTICA!

We have had a major winter storm that dumped almost 2 feet of snow on us. No complaining here. I love it. Everything is beautiful! The kids are sad because school was cancelled and they had to miss their Christmas parties and gift exchanges. But we've been shoveling and sledding and enjoying the Christmas spirit that snowfall brings.

We Need a Baby Fix

The girls were missing Dallas the other night when I put them to bed. I got out the baby lotion and baby bath and told them to close their eyes and sniff. It was wonderful to have all those memories flood back of holding him and smelling his baby smell. We have been so lucky to have Tammy come so often to see us - but we just can't get enough!
