We pick big pumpkins just for the pumpkin seeds! I love to roast them and then eat them all through Halloween. The girls do the work….

Megan has some new friends at CV. They all planned a night at Scarywood – haunted Silverwood theme park. So Rachelle, Emma, and Izy came home from school on Thursday and hung around, ate dinner and then we drove them to Scarywood where they paid to have people scare them! It was fun to get to know her new friends. Dress warm – it is freezing!
Megan also volunteered at a haunted house to help the food bank as service hours for school. She lost her voice screaming all night. Cassidy, Jenny and Megan are too cute to be scary…
Katie is having fun with friends too. She planned a double date carving pumpkins and going to a haunted corn maze afterwards. Glad to have friends over.
I love this time of year. The trees are so beautiful. The leaves are so magnificent. I love driving Melissa to school just to see the leaves in the Valley. I love taking my walks and enjoying the beauty. I am amazed every year!
I took some of these with my cell phone. I just stopped my van and tried to capture the majesty of what I was seeing.
This little tree looked as if it were on fire!!!! It was glowing!
I took this on a walk to home depot. The next week these leaves were all gone with the wind. So sad.
These are the hills above Liberty Lake. The gold trees really stick out from the evergreens this time of year and the hills are beautiful.
Of course our own backyard maple tree makes me so happy!
Carol is missing Chelsea – gone to BYU… and Ryan is always working and John is always traveling. Her house is quiet without her kids. So she joined us for a fun night picking out our pumpkins at Udicks’ farm.
Her first time at a pumpkin patch!
250 pounds of pumpkins on the front porch! Happy Halloween!
Mike is the new PWST officer for Boise. (He switched units to prepare for the move.) So this weekend he had a Marine muster and we all went down with him to see Tammy and Toby. We loved seeing the boys.
Tammy and I made some mummy shirts for the boys.
We had a little time to shop at the new Boise Taipan as well. We went out to eat at Café Rio. Mike loves it! It was just so much fun to be with Dallas and Wes and hold Harrison again. The girls came with us too.
We went back to the pumpkin patch we visited last year. The boys love playing in the corn bin most of all. And riding the cow train is fun. Lis still fits! Dallas wanted his own car! Toby and Dad had some practice lassoing, and they tried out the coffin. A perfect fit! We went on the hayride and went through the corn maze. We talked the girls out of the haunted one…. It was a fun night!
We had a great weekend with the kids. The drive home was very pretty thru the mountains of Oregon. We even listened to the Steelers game on the drive home on my new smart phone!
We found an old blue truck like the one we have at home! Ours is prettier!
