More Silhouette fun...

Always doing fun projects with this machine. Tammy cut a sticker for Andrew's friend Kevin to put on his motorcycle. He works for the Fire Department. We found out later that he had to take it off because it was too official looking and made his bike look like it was part of the Fire Department equipment. Ha Ha!

I made myself an insulated tumbler that I use every day and I love because it keeps my water so cold...  And I made some cute water bottles for Jessies kids when they were here.  Fun to learn how to layer and do cute kid things.  I can trace almost anything off google images.... With the help of Tammy - the expert!  I made Katie's Dairy Queen tag a little classier... and then had to cut one for several of her work buddies who saw it and loved it. Go me.  It's fun to see something at the store and think - I can add vinyl to that!

Homemade PASTA

Megan and Melissa took a cooking class the first part of the summer to make up for the credits they lose from taking seminary.  They LOVED it and learned all about commercial cooking and running the "Mr. Beans" cafe.  They brought home so many tasty things like ham wraps, creme brulee, Italian sodas.  One thing Melissa was excited to come home and show us was how easy homemade pasta was.  One night she mixed up some flour and water and eggs and kneaded it forever and we rolled it out and make homemade bow tie pasta for dinner.  WOW!  It was soooo good.  We didn't have enough so we made a box of normal stuff and got to compare the two side by side.  Homemade is so much better.

Happy Birthday Mike!

7-11 easy to remember because of the convinence stores that we grew up with in Pittsburgh.  I think they were open 7 am to 11 pm or something.... But that is the date of Mike's birthday too!  Now that we have "a connection" at Dairy Queen.... and a cute one at that.... we celebrate with ice cream cakes!  YEAH!  Happy Birthday to our Dad who is getting older and wiser too....

BackYard Retreat - Summer Fun

We got a new chaise lounge from Costco and now I love my backyard even more!  Such a perfect place to read and relax.  I also figured out how to outsmart those summer rain showers and protect my cushions....  If I can see the rain coming, I can gather my cushions.

Although this isn't in the back yard.... Mike has been fertilizing my flowers on the front porch and they are huge!  So pretty!  Tammy always tells me that I have white trash flower pots but these are the bomb!  Not white trash!
Funny story - one of my black sunflower bird seeds actually sprouted inside the bird feeder.  It seemed like it worked so hard to live that I transplanted it to my garden just to give it a chance and see how it would grow.  It became a huge sunflower!  Amazing to see that tiny piece of bird food sprout in an unlikely place and eventually grow into a majestic flower!

In other backyard fun....Megan invited a few friends over to enjoy the park and the backyard too. Movies in the park and fire pits... Summer Fun!

Shopping in the Pet Section

YES we are shopping in the Pet Section...Megan read on 'Pinterest" that horse shampoo would make her hair grow long faster.... So we are trying MANE and TAIL shampoo for horses.  I had to take a picture....  Good luck Megan!  We love how crazy you are!  And I bet that horse shampoo will make you that much more beautiful!
