Annual Family Photo

I like to get a picture for the Christmas Card every year.  So on Sunday I told everyone to come outside. I set up the tri-pod in the front yard and we had a snowball fight!  At first all the snow balls came my way!  Then the kids got Dad. It was a lot of fun (until Katie hit Dad in the face…)   All’s fair….Oh well, Peace on Earth!  It made for a cute card!DSC_7229 (2)DSC_7220 (2) DSC_7228 (2) DSC_7221 (2)DSC_7222 DSC_7223 DSC_7224 DSC_7225 (2) DSC_7226 DSC_7227   DSC_72502 brightened with background

First Snowman!

Early snow this year.  At first it was too dry and cold to even make snowballs or a snowman.  But later in the week it warmed up enough to invite Frosty back!  I love snowmen! Katie made one in the front yard all by herself one day.  And the girls made one in the back.  We sent pictures to Dallas. DSC_7196 DSC_7202 DSC_7204

Happy Thanksgiving!

Dinner at the Walkers.  Diane had every one of her kids come home.  How fun is that?  It was great to see Jessica and Justin and their cute families.  And everyone had a chance to meet Julie’s little Kayson.  Jason came home from UW.  John’s mom came from Tennessee.  Nice to see her again.  Fun with family!  We missed Tammy and Toby and the kids and even Mom and Dad are usually with us but not this year.  :(  Yummy turkey, pie, games…

One of my favorite memories is that Melissa decided to make a lemon meringue pie – from scratch.  So yummy!  And it turns out that it is Justin’s favorite!  It was gone in no time.DSC_7133  DSC_7166 DSC_7135 DSC_7136 DSC_7138 DSC_7148 DSC_7158 DSC_7160 DSC_7162 DSC_7183 DSC_7186 DSC_7191

SNOW!

Freezing cold and snow.  It seems early this year.  I still had geraniums in pots on the front porch with my pumpkins until yesterday!    But last year we had almost no snow so I think it is beautiful.  (Even if we spent 45 minutes digging out the van stuck at the end of the driveway in a drift this morning.)

Last night for FHE Megan chose “Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow” for the opening song and everyone sang.  Mike and Andrew even knew all the words!

Looking out the windows this morning, the girls said, we live in a snow globe!

Katie… really is blonde.

Katie dyed her hair brown again.  It is cute on her but I do miss her blonde hair.  One night Megan helped us all remember how she looked as a blonde!  DSC_6679
