Happy Birthday Wes

DSC_5613

We celebrated everything early while the kids were home.  Wes was turning two (a sad thing because he can’t fly for free anymore) so we had a birthday celebration for him.  He is such a fun and beautiful boy.  I love his teasing eyes, his getting into things, his sweetness to Blue, his sweet tooth, his drama…  Wes a Mess, Oh my sweet Wesley.  So glad to have him in this family.

Happy Birthday Wes!

Harrison Blue

Sweet little Harrison is changing so fast.  We haven’t been able to see him as much because Tammy is to busy to travel, 3 kids is a lot of work!  So we all enjoyed this week to get to know Harrison.

Family Pictures 2011

Of course when the whole family is together, Mom has to figure out how to get a family picture for the Christmas card and just for me.  Coordinating outfits, some great photo spot, smiles or at least a pause in the fighting… It is not an easy job.  This year it was cold and windy but we gave it a try.  I must say that Mike is always supportive of my crazy need for photos.  He just loads everything in the van and says Yes Dear…

So here we are in 2011.  I ordered a big canvas for the wall.  We’ve used this rock in the woods before when the kids were little.  Man they have grown up so fast….

Fun with the family

We always love it when Tammy and Toby come because we play games, watch movies, play on the piano, snuggle babies, make treats, eat junk…. it is so fun to be together.  We did all of that over Thanksgiving break.  So glad to have them home!

Early Christmas with Tammy and Toby

We put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving so we could enjoy Christmas with Tammy and Toby while they were here.  I love having it up early anyway.  We had all the gifts for them wrapped and ready so we could have an early Christmas morning.

Playing with the boys

We know that we have no Christmas visitors this year so Toby took a week off at Thanksgiving to come home and play.  It’s been a year since we’ve had them home.  The boys came in May when Blue was born but not their parents…

It was so fun to have the boys here to play.  We love them so much.

Dallas and I usually had time alone in the mornings.  We made pancakes, played memory games and watched TV together.  He is so smart, it is so fun to talk to him and see all that he is learning.

Playing outside was fun too.  It was not too cold and we had a few days out on the tramp and on the swing set.

It’s fun to get out the toys for them too.  No one plays with toys anymore here.  Everyone is grown up….
