A birthday candle in your waffles, strawberries and whipped cream. What a way to start your 12th birthday! To make the day even better – Melissa got to go to Silverwood as the reward for earning the Zenith. It didn’t even rain like the weatherman predicted. A great day!
Happy Birthday Melissa! Somehow my baby is turning 12 years old. Not possible. Wasn’t it just yesterday that I was waiting and waiting for this little late baby to come. (You were due the end of May so when June came it felt like torture to still be pregnant.) I woke up with a very strong contraction and the next one came fast and furious. I woke up Dad and he drove 80 mph on the freeway, running red lights in town and got me to the hospital. I couldn’t even walk. He was running with the wheel chair. You were born 45 minutes later. I remember wanting to get there in time to have an epidural but alas – it was not to be. I must say that you were my easiest baby to bounce back from. Very fast and no drugs. And what a blessing it was to bounce fast because I came home to my other baby – Megan was barely 14 months old and not walking yet. We were a very busy family!
