Megan has totally loved being in Color Guard and had a chance to march in the Spokane Lilac Day Torchlight Parade. We have marched in it before with Mike’s Marine Unit with the Gold Star Mothers. We carried banners of the fallen soldiers. It was an amazing thing to participate in. But this year, Megan got to march with her flag behind the CVHS Marching Band.
We went downtown and stood on the streets as part of the crowd this year and waited for her group to march by. It was a fun night. Small world, we ran into our bug man, Ken. And Mike ended up arranging to meet a guy down at the parade and sell him some tools he had posted on Craigslist.
