Day 8–Saturday at Sea

How can this be our last day?  This week has passed so fast!  We were all saying this all day long.  We just don’t want to get off this ship!  We started the day with a walk for wishes – a mile around the upper deck to benefit the Make a Wish Foundation.  We love Toby’s brother and his wife Elizabeth who have had a Disney Wish granted thru this organization, so we felt a little connected thru them.  The girls were most excited about getting the cool shirts.  We walked with the head of the hospitality crew and told him how much we loved our room steward, Marvin.  He says that the cruise ships are always full, even thru the economic downturn.  And especially during Spring Break.

Then it was off to the deck to enjoy the sun and the water.  I’m gonna miss this!  Megan is actually doing homework!  Light reading by the pool – To Kill A Mocking Bird…  Katie ate hamburgers and fries everyday for lunch.  And the ice cream cones…. at least 10 times a day….

We even convinced Dad to join us on deck.  It’s been nice to live a week in flip flops and have someone else clean your room and make you a yummy dinner.  Life on a cruise ship is a wonderful vacation!  DSC_9439DSC_9443DSC_9444DSC_9447
Dallas colored me a picture of a cruise ship and I brought it and put it on my mirror.  It made me smile all week!
