Motherhood and Nursing - same thing
What a week - all was going well until Wednesday. Mike went out of town and all *#!@ broke loose! Good thing I am a nurse along with being a mom. It came in handy - I was working back to back shifts! Melissa came down with the fever, sore throat, cough, I feel like I'm going to throw up, stomach hurts flu. So she was down and we were all afraid it was the SWINE flu...
Then, Katie got hurt in Wednesday afternoon's soccer game. Going for the goal, tripped over the goalie, and tweeked her leg and knee. OUCH! The coach carried her to the bus and I met them at the school and took her right to ER. Poor thing has been on crutches since and we are awaiting an MRI next week.

Some of her discoveries are.... most of the boys that carry her backpack just want to ride the school elevator. Having the senior varsity football quarterback carry your backpack is pretty cool when you are a freshman. (It helps that we have known Brayden since he was 6, with red hair and freckles.) And, it is slow going with a knee brace and crutches! Now we are grateful for legs - and Tylenol with Codiene!

I was reading blogs with Dallas tonight and he kept pointing to all the photos. He sure loves you guys!
Hope Melissa and Katie get better soon. What a week to have these things happen. When it rains......it dumps.
Good thing you're a nurse and can take such good care of us.
